Bienvenue au Musée des Affiches. Les affiches originales des années 1950-60 annoncent les expositions de centaines d'artistes différents. De plus, ce sont souvent des lithographies réalisées par F. Mourlot, qui avait fait de son imprimerie un haut-lieu de la lithographie en accueillant les grands maîtres de la peinture du XXe siècle : Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Chagall, Miró ont trouvé là une atmosphère chaleureuse où, disait Prévert, " la main-d'œuvre sert chaque jour la main des chefs-d'œuvre ".

The posters are taken from the estate of a major Parisian collector. Most are lithographs. They announce the national and international exhibitions of major and lesser-known masters, engravers and sculptors from the 1950's to the 1960's (galleries, museums, etc.). F. Mourlot, a prestigious lithographer, created a great number of posters, very often in the presence of the artists themselves. Fernand Mourlot (1895-1988) made his printing works into a Mecca of modern lithography, receiving visits from all the great XXth century artists: Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Chagall, Miró and many others all found a warm welcome in this place where, to quote Prévert, "the workers worked daily to create the masters' masterpieces".

Die Plakate entstammen der Hinterlassenschaft eines großen Pariser Sammlers. Die meisten Plakate sind Lithographien. Sie kündigen nationale und internationale Ausstellungen der Jahre zwischen 1950 und 1960 an(Galerien, Museen, usw.)und zwar solche kleiner und großer Meister, der Graveure und Bildhauer. F. Mourlot, ein namhafter Lithograph, fertigte zahlreiche Plakate häufig in Anwesenheit der Künstler an. Fernand Mourlot (1895-1988) gelang es, aus seiner Druckerei eine Hochburg der modernen Lithographie zu machen, indem er die großen Meister der Malerei des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts bei sich aufnahm: Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Chagall, Miró und noch viele andere fanden dort eine herzliche Atmosphäre, in der, so sagte Prévert, "sich Arbeitskraft und Meisterwerk täglich die Hand reichen".
